Manyatta Rock Camp
 Watch the sun rise over the Lembobo Mountains to the east and in the evenings marvel at the orange glow of the sun as it sets again in the west. Enjoy the bush views in every direction and just listen to the stillness of this wonderful African wilderness. Our cosy viewing lounge deck raised on stilts jutting out over the rocks provides a stunning spot for leisurely game viewing or a quiet moment to enjoy a sundowner absorbing the special beauty that surrounds you.
This is Manyatta Rock Camp. Two towering granite rocks reach towards the sky to provide a dramatic setting for this four star camp which sits on a typical African kopjie. Located in the heart of the Kwa Madwala Private Game Reserve, Manyatta Rock Camp is the perfect location to enjoy your tailor made holiday of adventure safari and relaxation.
 In comparison to most safari lodge experiences which are often structured, set and defined in advance we have a more flexible approach to help you tailor make your holiday to suit you and the time you would like to spend with us.
How to structure your stay at Manyatta Rock Camp
The Manyatta Rock Camp is charged on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis with lunch and activities charged separately as you require them. This way you only pay for what you want to do. For the more energetic a busy on-the-move adventure packed experience awaits you, and for those who choose more of a ‘time out’ experience, this may be to just relax on your private look out deck, enjoy a treatment in our spa or spend some time reading by the pool.
 Manyatta Rock Camp can be pre booked inclusive of extra activities and lunch or alternatively booked on a bed, breakfast and dinner basis only leaving you to decide on your safaris and other activities when you have arrived.
Whatever your needs you can be sure that our staff, safari managers and team will do all they can to make you feel welcome and ensure your stay with us will be a magical experience you will never forget.
Manyatta Rock Camp Accommodation
The rooms at Manyatta Rock Camp are completely unique. Looking like giant rocks our domed shaped bedrooms are scattered across the kopjie, designed to blend in with the surrounding natural environment.
 Comfortable and elegant without being fussy, Manyatta is praised for its relaxed charm, unique design and stunning hilltop location. All 27 rooms are air conditioned and are furnished with two twin or a queen sized bed and have a fabulous private wooden deck with deckchairs, an en suite bathroom with his and her basins and a bath, there is an additional outdoor open air shower. In addition there are tea and coffee making facilities, a mini fridge (stocked as a bar on request).
Seven of the rooms also feature a separate living room complete with a sofa bed. These units are well suited to families with older children. Maximum room occupancy in these rooms is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
There is also a beautiful appointed Honeymoon Suite featuring a large four poster bed, private deck and shower and ideally located for maximum privacy.
Subtle efficient lighting around the camp and footpaths connect all rooms to the swimming pool, Boma, dining decks, bar, day Spa and viewing lounge deck.
We would request you do not walk around unattended at night for your own safety. A ranger is always available to escort you to your room by torchlight.
