Cuisine at Manyatta
Meals at Manyatta are delicious, wholesome local South African cuisine and always offer a vegetarian as well as red and white meat choice at dinner. Dishes are well balanced, healthy and innovative satisfying the ever hungry appetite created by so much fresh air and adventure.
Breakfast
With the game drives and other activities departing around sunrise, a range of hot drinks, fruit juices and rusks are served on the look out desk before you go. A hearty late breakfast is then available on your return. Weather permitting every alternate breakfast is in the bush in the middle of the conservancy, often with our elephants as company or back at the Camp on the dining deck.
Your ranger will always stop in the bush towards the end of the morning game drive for a well earned cup of coffee, and again at the end of the evening game drive for a sundowner while watching the hippos have a bath in the distance.
Lunch
A light lunch is available daily if you are in Camp served in the shade of the dining deck. Bring your binoculars as you never know what you night see from these east facing decks in the distance.
Dinner
Dinner is served on return from the late afternoon game drive and activities, and is served at one of two locations on either the main dining deck or, weather permitting, every alternate dinner is a Boma dinner and is served around the campfire in traditional safari style. You often will hear the distant roar of the lions while you are enjoying your supper.
Unless otherwise pre arranged your daily rate at Manyatta is inclusive of breakfast and dinner with lunch being extra.
A very good selection of South African wines, cold beers and spirits are available from the bar and our bar staff will happily stock your room mini fridge to order if requested.
